Online sales in Russia over three days of action «black Friday» (November 29 — December 1) rose by almost 30%, to 22.3 billion rubles, as against 17.4 billion rubles in the same period last year. About TASS said the President of the Association of companies the Internet-trade (AKIT) Artem Sokolov.
«The total turnover of shares on the Internet broke last year’s record. According to our calculations, the Russians made online purchases in the amount of 22.3 billion roubles, as compared to 17.4 billion in 2018,» he said. The greatest demand, said Sokolov, was used by electronics and appliances. In addition, the number of popular categories included hotel booking and delivery of products.
In M. Video and Eldorado in black Friday traffic in online stores increased in comparison with the usual day to 80%, the number of orders — twice. «The average check amounted to about 11 thousand rubles. Most expensive purchase in both the networks were TV. Buyers most often ordered game consoles, smartphones, TVs, small appliances (MRAs ovens, mixers and blenders), — have informed in a press-service of the combined company. — The maximum number of orders in a single check was 34 positions.»
«Black Friday» has already won the confidence of the Russians, believes Artem Sokolov. «In the event is actively involved in virtually all age groups, but the most active young people from 25 to 34 years (25% of the audience). Men discounts were more interesting than women. «The regions accounted for 65% of the audience that once again proves that «black Friday» in Russia caught on,» — said the President of AKITA.
Earlier it was reported that more than a third of orders (35%) fell on Moscow and the Moscow region, Saint Petersburg and Leningrad oblast. Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, Sverdlovsk, Samara region, Tatarstan was included into number of regions, buyers of which were most active in the days of «black Friday».
The total amount of payments during the period of the promotion «black Friday» in online stores which makes payments through «Yandex.Cash,» grew more than twice compared to the previous weekend. «The average check also increased to 1039 rubles. Most of the purchases people made in the shops of clothes, shoes and accessories — they accounted for about 47% of the total turnover this weekend. The average check amounted to 1398,41 of the ruble,» — said TASS in the press service of the company.
In a press-service of the company «Platform CRF» (the largest operator of fiscal data of Russia, which treats the online data of more than 900 thousand offices across the country) summed up the first two days of the campaign. According to experts, for 29 and 30 November 2019, the total expenditures of Russians grew by 11% compared to the same period of black Friday 2018. «Average ticket purchases in the analyzed period amounted to 9510 rubles, which is 20% lower than the same days last week (22-23 November), and 14% lower than in days of sales «black Friday» last year», — said TASS in the press service. Number of purchases during the study period increased by 15% compared to the same period of black Friday 2018.
This year, black Friday was held in Russia for the seventh time.
