Previously, the Committee made a recommendation about deprivation of the status of the Russian anti-doping Agency (RUSADA). In April 2018 was updated the WADA code. According to the amendments, if the anti-doping organization of the country deprived of the status, it can prohibit the holding of international competitions.
Answering the question whether UEFA to confront the situation and keep Russia’s right to host matches of the 2020 European championship, Fetisov said, «Why do UEFA need to confront the world of sports, something to cover? In St. Petersburg must pass three matches of the group stage, including two involving the national team of Russia, and one quarter-final of Euro 2020.
