Russian figure skater won a fourth consecutive victory in the Grand Prix
Competitions in women’s figure skating for a fourth this season, the Grand Prix — the Chinese Chongqing ended with the victory of 15-year-old Russian woman Anna Shcherbakova. Defending champion Russia showed the best result in a short and arbitrary programs, received from the judges in the amount of 226,04 points.
In random rental Shcherbakov twice performed a quadruple Lutz. One of them was in cascade with a triple toe loop. As the tournament Skate America, the Russian speech changed the color of the dress. Undoing the clasp, she changed the blue color to red.
The victory allowed Shcherbakova, conducting the first season in the adult figure skating, to qualify for the Grand Prix final. In October, she also won the debut stage of the series in Las Vegas. The Grand Prix final, involving six skaters will be held from 5 to 8 December in Turin, Italy.
The silver medal was won by two-time world Championships medalist the Japanese Satoko Miyahara, who scored in the amount of 211,18 points. Third was world champion 2015 Russian Elizaveta Tuktamysheva (209,10), who performed in the free program two triple Axel.
At the Cup of China, Elizaveta Tuktamysheva performed from an arbitrary program under the song You Don’t Love Me Caro emerald, Petite Fleur-the Hot Sardines and Catgroove artist Parov Stelar. In October at Skate America, she skated to a different song The Hot Sardines — Caravan.
The current European champion Sophia Samodurova took a final fifth place with 185,29 points. She showed the fifth result in short and arbitrary programs.
Russian figure skater won the fourth stage in a row in the Grand Prix of the season. Earlier at Skate America in Las Vegas was won by Anna Shcherbakova, at Skate Canada in Kelowna — it coincided with Alexander Trusov, at the Internationaux de France in Grenoble 16 — year-old Alyona Kostina.
Earlier at the Cup of China Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov won the competition dance duets. The victory was their first at the stages of Grand Prix.
