ARD found out about the possible removal of Russia from the Olympics in Tokyo
A journalist of the German TV channel ARD, Hyo Seppelt wrote in his Twitter that against Russia can be sanctioned for manipulation of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory. According to him, does not exclude the suspension of the country from participation in the Olympic games-2020. Seppelt cites sources close to the world anti-doping Agency (WADA).
«In the case of possible falsification of the data of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory has a new aggravating circumstance. If in the next few days confirmed, against Russia could be applied the most severe sanctions, including suspension from participation in the Olympics», — the journalist wrote.
In September, WADA has launched the procedure for the recognition of the Russian anti-doping Agency (RUSADA) does not comply with the code of the organization. Experts suspect that the Russian side had manipulated the data of the Moscow laboratory.
Russia has received from WADA three weeks to answer the 31 question about taken by the Metropolitan laboratory urine samples. In October, the Agency announced on receipt of the responses from the Ministry of sports of Russia.
In the words of Minister of sport Pavel Kolobkov, the changes in the database of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory were related to technical issues. He said that in the near future the Russian side will explain the experts of WADA all the controversies.
Senior Manager-communications WADA, James Fitzgerald , saidthat the organization will make a decision on the status of RUSADA to the end of the year. The Executive Committee of the Agency will be based on the recommendations of the compliance Committee, which will appear before the end of November.
This week, Seppelt wrote on Twitter that Russia did not answer all questions WADA. According to him, no response left more than a quarter of them (8 of 31).
