Neymar missed half of the matches of PSG since a record transfer

The transfer of the Brazilian striker in the Paris team from Barcelona for €222 million was the biggest cost in football history

PSG striker Neymar missed exactly half of the team’s matches since signing her contract in the summer of 2017, according to ESPN. The footballer took to the field in yesterday’s Champions League game against club Brugge, missing the 63rd match after going to the Paris team.

The number of missed Neymar games equal to the number of matches played (just after crossing PSG spent 126 games). Most of the missed meetings, the Brazilian striker couldn’t get on the field because of injuries — such matches already scored 53. There are eight games the player missed due to suspension.

Neymar moved to PSG before the start of the 2017/18 season from Barcelona. The Paris club has paid the player €222 million, this transfer became the most expensive in the history of football.

In February 2018, the striker suffered a broken metatarsal and missed a few months. At the beginning of 2019 he was again eliminated in the long term because of the complications of this injury.

This summer, Neymar missed the start of the season in the French championship due to a foot injury. In September, the footballer played for PSG in five games, scored four goals, and mid-October again was out for a month due to thigh strain obtained in the Brazil team.
