The NHL was disqualified Russian forward «Vegas Golden knights» Valentin Zykov in 20 matches. About it it is reported on the official website of the League.

24-year-old hockey player was punished for using illegal drugs. He will be able to return to the ice until 30 November in the home game against the Arizona. Prior to the expiration of the period of Ineligibility striker will not receive a salary.

Moreover, Zykov may be sent for treatment in the framework of the fight against substance abuse. This procedure is governed by the terms of the collective labor agreement in the NHL.

«Vegas» has already responded to the disqualification Zykova, stating that the player knowingly used banned drugs. «Throughout the season we follow the diet of their players. Valentin had used illegal drugs without the consent of club», — is spoken in the message of press-service of the team.

Zykov was a pupil of CSKA Moscow. In 2012 he moved to Canada in Major Junior hockey League Quebec. In 2013 the striker in the second round of the NHL draft under the total 37 number selected «Los Angeles kings».
