The US President Donald trump on Tuesday again vetoed a resolution of the U.S. Congress, aiming at the abolition of the state of emergency on the border with Mexico. This is stated in a letter to the American leader of the U.S. Senate, the press service of the White house.
Trump said in the letter that returns without the consent of a resolution designed to lift the state of emergency that was declared by the President on February 15 due to the crisis on the southern border.
Recall that on 15 February, the President signed the decree about introduction of state of emergency on the southern border of the United States. This measure would allow his administration, for instance, to accumulate about $ 8 billion for the construction or repair of fences in some sections of the border with Mexico. Washington believes that such a measure will contribute to curbing illegal immigration and drug smuggling.
