The ex-footballer «Spartacus» Kulkov was diagnosed with cancer
Former football player of «Spartak» 53-year-old Vasily Kulkov cancer, reports the official website of the Association of fans of the Moscow club «Phratry», citing information from relatives.
It is noted that the defender and midfielder of «Spartak», which is a member of the coaching staff at the club’s Academy, diagnosed squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus. Now he is in the hospital in Krasnogorsk, where the second phase of chemotherapy.
Kulkov played for «Spartak» from 1981 to 1991 and from 1995 to 1997. In the team he won the USSR championship in 1989 and became the bronze medalist of the championship of Russia of 1995.
On account Kulkova 21 games in the national team of Russia, in which he scored five goals. He also spent 20 games for the national team of the USSR.
